Guaranteed uptime and no downtime

With the large volume of TTR it made sense to look at lower cost options to save money, however Operations wanted guranteed uptime and no downtime.

They stuck to B220 Premium Wax which they knew from 20 years of use and continue to purchase B220 Premium Wax along with coated paper label stock to ensure 100% print perfect barcode. They felt that they cannot sacrifice performance for a cheap price.

The supply chain has changed significantly with huge depots that have high level IT and automation. A failure to scan a barcode can lead to human intervention and inefficiency that leads to heavy fines for suppliers.

What starts out as a saving ends up costing more. Hence you cannot look at the cost of a wax ribbon on the cost of a roll and it is imperative that the end user looks at ‘cost of use’.
