EUROPE – Metallized Transfer Product manufacturer ITW ShineMark has been awarded the highest rating for deinkability for its ICF Range of Offset Cold Transfer. This further verifies the recyclability, and repulpability that has been established by other studies. The testing was conducted on a fully-metallized paperboard printed with Heidelberg XL 105 8LYYL.
ITW ICF/ICF2 Series Cold Transfer is an increasingly popular choice for decorative and brand security purposes because it is a plastic-free effect compatible with recyclable and biodegradable paper carton packaging. After the metallic layer is transferred to the final product, the plastic carrier is removed, leaving the product plastic film-free. To close the loop on pre-consumer recyclability, ITW offers a film recycling partnership to customers, where possible.
